Let me start by saying that there’s no substitute for eating right and working out. You can’t expect to do anything and lose weight overnight. Also, no detox diet or magic pill will ever help you. If you are an active individual, who loves to eat clean and lift weights, this article isn’t for you. This article is for those who only walk to take a dump and are on their way to becoming potato chip bags. Yes, if you are fat and still not willing to do anything about it, following these tips will help you. Again, these tips won’t work for fit people.
1. Don’t Eat Carbohydrates When You Know You Will Be Inactive For Long Durations
Carbohydrates are friends with active people but for sedentary fat people, they are the nemesis. If you are already fat and not willing to exercise, stay as far away from carbohydrates like rice, breads, chapattis and corn flakes, as you can. For god’s sake, corn flakes don’t help you lose weight. Unnecessary carbohydrate consumption will only result in unnecessary insulin spikes and ultimately, glycogen being stored as fat. If you know you have to sit on your desk, watch TV, or drive for hours, then replace carbohydrates with protein and fats.
2. Try Including A Considerable Portion Of Protein In Every Meal
Protein intake is fundamental to fat loss. It digests slowly and keeps you fuller for longer, that’s the max you need to understand. No, a fucking cheese burger with huge white bread buns and negligible chicken won’t cut it. Aim for at least 20-25 grams of protein per meal. Make chicken and whole eggs a staple in your diet.
3. Resort To Fruits When You Crave Sugar
The biggest problem fat people face is sugar cravings. Along with it comes sugar-lathered cup cakes, pies, cake and a whole lot of shit. Next time you crave sugar, try countering it with fruit. Although huge fruit servings are never not advisable in weight loss cases but it’s still better than eating processed sugar. Fruit sugar is called fructose and it is leaps and bounds better than industry made sweeteners. You will satisfy your sweet tooth and get some vitamins in your body as well.
4. Stop Spending Hours Staring At Food Posts On Social Media
Alright, this needs to be talked about. What you subject yourself to for most part of the day, plays a paramount role in determining eating habits. Modestly put- the internet’s obsession with ‘food porn’ is a pathway to diabetes and obesity. While it’s hard for fat people to control cravings in the first place, they go ahead and subject themselves to mouth watering food pictures on the internet. Result- overeating and eating when not required. Stay away from such food posts if you have a problem controlling your cravings!
5. Never Overeat. In Fact, Eat Lesser Than What You Think You Should Eat When Going Out And Get Leftovers Packed.
© Overeating is a surefire way to get fat. Try eating a little less than what you usually define as ‘full’ for yourself. If are eating out, don’t fill yourself up till you feel like exploding. Eat half the portion and get the other half packed. Eat it later.
Again I would say it’s better to exercise regularly and eat clean. Working out will not only help you lose weight but will bring a huge change in your mindset as well.
